THE STRANDING Found floating off shore near Cape May, New Jersey, by Capt. Glenn Foolke.
The turtle was admitted to the Marine Mammal stranding center on Aug 24.
They provided immediate care but can't keep loggerheads in residence over the winter.  May enjoyed a car ride south and she will stay with us for the winter.
 
THE TREATMENT May has a flotation problem and can't submerge.  Sea Turtles have to be able to dive to eat.  May is underweight as it has been difficult for her to catch food.

May continues to have floation problems.  She has passed pieces of plastic as shown above, the penny is for scale only.
