| THE STRANDING | Found in a pound net in Core
Sound by
NMFS biologist Lisa Goshe. The turtle has wounds consistent
with a boat propeller strike.
They are healing but some soft tissue is exposed. There is also
some trauma/bleeding to the eyes and a large wound on the neck. |

| MAY 2006 | Stacy III has had a good year. Last
summer her wounds received daily attention, keeping them clean and
covered with antibiotic cream. Today she is healthy and looking
good. If she passes her physical this month, she will go home
this summer. |
